About Andrea Klink
Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Andrea Klink graduated from Herbert C. Hoover High School (2003–2006), the state school at the now closed Iowa Juvenile Home-State Group Home in Toledo, Iowa. She is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with concentrations in Legal Studies and Advocacy at Southern New Hampshire University, where she had a 4.0 GPA, received the President's List certificate of recognition, and is on the cusp of graduating with her bachelor's degree in order to transfer to law school.
She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and registered with LSAC to guide her legal journey. Her overall experience extends far beyond traditional professional credentials — it was forged through life's hard lessons during a rough childhood, growing up poor as a ward of the state of Iowa, facing injustices head-on, and navigating the foster care system. These real lived experiences, combined with self-employment as a small business owner and independent contractor, have shaped her into a candidate who possesses genuine morality, unwavering integrity, radical honesty, and principled leadership that cannot be bought. She is baptized as Pentecostal Christian but identifies as a child of God — one who embraces the unity and uniqueness God intended when creating humanity, celebrating individualized gifts, authenticity, and originality rather than carbon copies. Like an unassuming geode, she may appear plain, unqualified, or unremarkable on the surface — but crack her open, and you'll discover the hidden treasure of resilience, wisdom, and brilliance forged through a lifetime of trials that no textbook could ever teach.

Her personal journey includes facing multiple legal issues where she also had to fight for her innocence to clear her name, spending 10 years whistleblowing anonymously and named on corruption while also dealing with her daughter being exploited on social media, homelessness, and DCF. These experiences have forged her into a fierce voice for the voiceless — those overlooked, underestimated, ignored, and written off.

For My Daughter – ZappGame Coding Adventure
One of the most joyful things I've done as a mom is create ZappGame, a fun open-source coding game for my daughter Sapphire.
In this space-themed adventure, kids help save Planet Qubit by completing interactive coding missions. It teaches basic programming concepts through play — using simple HTML5 and JavaScript, and it's playable right in the browser.
I'm now opening ZappGame to the community so more children can learn, create, and enjoy it. With support, I hope to expand it into a full mobile and web app with additional levels, more characters, enhanced educational features, and better accessibility for all kids.
All funding is handled transparently through its dedicated Open Source Collective page. Every contribution goes directly toward development, assets, hosting, and growth — this is a completely personal family project and is entirely separate from my campaign for governor.
